Good Night Sleep
When's the last time you went mattress shopping? I'll start off by saying that our bed sucked...it SUCKED. It was this cheap ass bed that I paid very little for about 3 years ago and it was already misshapen and lumpy and SOOOOO uncomfortable. If I can give one piece of advice that people would actually listen to, it's this...don't skimp when you buy a mattress...it doesn't last long at all...it's bad for your overall health...and you'll need another one in a few years (which goes right along with "it doesn't last long at all").
We went to Jordan's Furniture last weekend and paid a visit to the Sleep Lab. We met with a certified Sleep Technician. He knew everything there was to know about mattresses and comfortable sleep. He asked our sleeping preferences and comfort preferences...and then told us we didn't need a hard mattress. We could get something comfy...we just needed comfy with support. YES!
We tried about 6 different mattresses with different qualities and different firmness. We particularly liked the fact that our mattress didn't have to SUCK! The best one we tried was the Nature's Rest Foam Mattress. We slept on it for the first time last night...and guess what? MY ARM DIDN'T DIE! My arm didn't die last night...usally my arm dies once a night. It is the best bed in the entire world. It has support and pressure relief and the latex reduces pressure to the body's soft tissue to allow improved blood flow and reduce tossing and turning.
And then Monty threw up twice. You can't have everything.

Hey Jeff
So these "certified sleep technicians" actually exist? I always pictured them as shiny robots plugging in your preferences... and then invariably showing you the most expensive mattress in the store! That's good to know!
Listen I noticed that you're still trying to cast the Creepy Voice for your AUBHB4 Krappy Mystery. Remember Redrum?!?!??!! I would definitely keep Tiffany in mind... that girl's voice can be SPOO-KY!!!!!!!!!
;o)
Helen
Sleep is overrated !!!!!
Greg
Sleep...real sleep...ahhhh. Sleep is SO not overrated. You don't even know.
Those sleep technicians are real and they're good. Good, I tell you. And although they do offer you the most expensive mattress in the store...they give options.
"Creepy Voice" is more of a creepy voice and less of a devil voice. Creepy, spooky, non-devil voice.
:-)
We are now looking at beds, and tried the Nature's Rest Latex. The only thing I've heard negative about latex beds is that they can get hot becuase they retain your body heat. Have you had anyu problems with this?
Bruce, I have not had any trouble with this personally and I had two blankets on the bed all winter. 4 months later and it's still the best thing we ever bought!
