Easy Come, Easy Go
For about an hour this afternoon I had $479.87 of someone else's money in my checking account...and now it's gone. I'm sure you're wondering how this happened...and if you're not, stop reading and go the hell away.
Apparently, someone in my HR department got confused and deposited someone else's travel reimbursement to my account. I looked at the notice, tilting my head like a dog that doesn't understand what you're saying...stared at the notice some more...wondering for about 15 seconds if I should say anything...if I should just keep the money because it really didn't belong to that other person yet...and then my rational side took over and I called the inquire. OK, really...I knew they would figure it out eventually and I'd have to give it back. So, I called...they're going to take it away...and as a reward (I guess), I found $10 on the ground. Gee karma...thanks for the prize.

You did the right thing. If you had ordered $400.00 worth of Corky's ribs then you probably would have been stricken with trichinosis(sp?). Bad juju is hard to shake.
Oh, those delicious Corky's ribs...had more for dinner tonight. You know I would have choked on a rib bone if I kept the money.
Hehe. I had better karma for telling you to call HR in the first place. I found $20 on my way home. Now I can afford cough drops. Glorious cough drops.
