Who's Been Sleeping in Our Child-Size Bed?
Any other couples out there sleeping in a full-size bed? From what I understand, this is not typical, but it's what we have left over from our pre-relationship days. "Why am I bringing this up now?" you might be asking yourself. Because I have a story to tell you, but I'm getting ahead of myself...you need some background
Katharine and I are lacking that person in the relationship who is not impulsive. Personally, I'm OK with that...and so is she, I think. Our story begins with our need for more clothing storage, but it certainly doesn't end there. We received a coupon from Bernie and Phyls Furniture that promised no payment until 2008 if you purchase furniture now. How convenient...we needed furniture, and here it was...FREE! We went looking for armoires, and our only requirement was matching the furniture we already had in our bedroom. We took a ride over to the store and starting browsing around. The only matching armoire was kind of cheap, but there were other quality pieces of furniture in other finishes. As I said before...we wanted a matching bedroom set...if the armoire was going to be in another finish...we needed to look at the rest of the set. I know what you're thinking and I don't care. In particular, we were trying to find a set with a full size bed. Nothing...in the adult section. We walked over to the kids section and there they were...the full beds amongst the smaller scale furniture. We laughed...Katharine was literally rolling on one of the "kid beds". Over strolled a saleswoman...a little bitchy if you ask me for someone who wanted to make a sale. "Can I help you?" she asked. "We're just laughing at something funny," Katharine replied. "Something I can help you with?" the woman countered. "You can show us to the door...bitch," I thought as we left. We went right over to Jordan's furniture and found a set...the perfect set.
