DVD Collection #1: 28 Days Later (spoilers)
Bob tells me (without actually saying it) that I need to get started on my DVD collection reviews. So here it goes.
The story begins with the release of the virus, and then introduces you to Jim...a man apparently by himself in a hospital where he wakes up. When he leaves the hospital, he realizes that the streets are empty...people are dead...or so he would wish they were when he sees what they've turned into. Like any good zombie movie...Jim finds more people like him and the band of survivors try to find safety as each of them (as usual) are turned into zombies and have to be put down. At some point, they're "saved" by a bunch of military people...who haven't seen women in a while so some bad stuff is attempted. They're also keeping a zombie tied up in the backyard, which they mess with whenever they get the opportunity. Bad move. It's asking to be killed when he gets loose.
End of the movie...the main character and a couple of other people live, but apparently not into the second movie (or past the alternate ending from what I hear). The sequel...28 weeks later and not as good of a movie. I don't own that one, so I won't be writing about it.
